LIFE Facilities brings together infrastructure, facilities, networks, expertise and business support to strengthen the life sciences and health ecosystem in the Northern Netherlands. Together with our members and partners, we identify opportunities and develop and implement facilities, projects and initiatives that create value for our members and the wider ecosystem.

This includes shared research and development facilities, open innovation projects, new partnerships or initiatives that stimulate entrepreneurship and business development. By bringing together companies, knowledge institutions, healthcare organisations and other partners, we translate shared needs and opportunities into concrete solutions and new possibilities.
In this way, we are working together to build a strong and accessible ecosystem in which organisations can share knowledge and expertise, make use of shared infrastructure and collaborate on new innovations.
IMAGING4DRUGS bouwt een geïntegreerde infrastructuur voor moleculaire beeldvorming en data-analyse die geneesmiddelenontwikkeling sneller, veiliger en beter onderbouwd moet maken. Door zichtbaar te maken waar een geneesmiddel zich in het lichaam bevindt, of het zijn doelwit bereikt en welke biologische respons het veroorzaakt, kan al vroeg in het ontwikkelproces worden bepaald of een middel kansrijk is en welke dosering optimaal is.
iPsomics is a promising life science start-up originating from UMCG. With support from PharmaNL, the company (formerly G2 Solutions) is building a unique infrastructure that combines human iPSC technology (induced pluripotent stem cells) with single-cell whole genome sequencing. This powerful combination enables the development of cell-level disease models and allows for much more precise study of complex diseases, such as cancer.
On Friday 27 November, the LIFE Cooperative is organising LIFE Compliance Day 2026. The day will be entirely dedicated to current compliance issues, knowledge-sharing and networking within our community on the topic of sustainability in medtech.
LIFE Connect is an informal, exclusive networking event designed specifically for the members and partners of the LIFE cooperative. Hosted in a relaxed setting, LIFE Connect serves as a platform for discussing ALV (General Members Meeting) topics, while also offering short, insightful presentations from selected speakers and rounding up the afternoon with drinks and bites.
