Detact Diagnostics is a biotech start-up founded in 2014. The company has developed a patented, innovative, and groundbreaking platform for the detection of bacteria and viruses. This platform is highly sensitive, specific, and extremely fast (seconds to minutes), making it suitable for both in-vivo and in-vitro diagnostic applications.
The technology is based on Near-Infra-Red (NIR) light emission, which is released when a cleavable peptide comes into contact with its target. This results in a stable emission of near-infrared light, which can be detected through substances and tissues. The emitted light is captured by the Detact Diagnostics DeNIRO reader.
