Sencilia is an early-stage MedTech startup that was spun out of the University of Groningen. We specialize in micro and nanotechnology and are experts in developing bioinspired MEMS sensors. The mission of our company is to improve patient safety using our patent-pending MEMS sensor technology, and our first offering is an IV infusion flow monitoring device. Our smart hardware/software product will improve the safety of IV therapy, thereby enhancing patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs associated with preventable adverse drug events.

We aim to provide laboratory grade quality control without the need for static machines or specialized training. In addition to our onsite testing device we also offer off-site lab testing to Craft Breweries as well as collaboration on joint R+D projects.

Based in Janesville, Wisconsin, SHINE deploys its safe, cost-effective and environmentally friendly fusion technology in a stepwise approach. Its systems are used to inspect industrial components in aerospace, defense, energy and other sectors. SHINE’s proprietary medical isotope production processes create non-carrier-added lutetium-177 and are expected to create molybdenum-99. In the future, SHINE plans to scale its fusion technology to help solve one of energy’s toughest hurdles by recycling nuclear waste.
