Care2Change (EFRO)

The LIFE Cooperative is a proud partner in the Care2Change project: a large-scale collaboration led by the University Medical Centre Groningen, in which hospitals, research institutions and businesses in the northern Netherlands are joining forces. Together, we are taking steps towards a circular healthcare sector, with the aim of reducing hospital waste and CO₂ emissions, and increasing the reuse and recycling of materials.

Through Care2Change, we aim to make a tangible contribution to circular procurement, the redesign of medical products, and the establishment of logistics systems for sorting, washing and reuse. As a cooperative, we bring together businesses, research institutions and public authorities, and we encourage circular innovation and collaboration in the region. We are doing the same within this project, which aligns perfectly with the sustainability ambitions of the cooperative and its members.
